Question: My Quad-Line power kite is not flying like it used to. What am I doing wrong?

Answer: It is very common for the top flying lines to stretch after some flight time with quad-line ram-air kites. This will definitely happen when using brand new flying lines. As the top lines stretch the flying angle of the kite (angle of attack) changes and too much 'brake' results. To correct this problem either add approximately six inches to the bottom/back lines, using two loops of 200lbs Dacron, OR shorten the top lines by approximately six inches. Once the lines have become fully stretched no further re-adjustment is usually needed. For more Skytiger tuning information, go to the *Tiger Tips* page.

Question: What is Kite Buggying?

Answer: Kite Buggying is a kitesport which combines steerable kite flying with land sailing. The Kite Buggy is a single seat 3 wheeled craft which is steered by your feet on the front wheel foot-pegs. Propulsion comes from high tech aerofoil type kites which the buggy pilot flies like an airborne sail. The kites, which are usually controlled by four lines from two hand held control handles, fly on 75 foot flying lines. The kites can range from 10 sq. ft. in area for strong wind, to 100 sq. ft. for the lightest of breezes. As with a sail boat, the kite buggyer can always return to his start point by tacking and skill in using the wind to their advantage. For more information and pictures of kites and buggies check out the *Buggy* and *Quad Line Kites* pages.
